For almost twenty years, Laurel has worked in the area of change management and change leadership.   Her involvement with initiatives ranging from IT projects and organizational effectiveness initiatives that impact people across North America to community change projects that empower individual community members has fostered a respect for the importance of people finding their ‘place within the change’.  As a Change Management practitioner, Laurel considers not just the people side of change, but the ‘human side of change’, which translates into a respect for peoples' values and unique perspectives.  She brings a pragmatic approach to her work, drawing on a variety of change management methodologies and translating them into effective action. She has a passion for effective leadership and loves working in partnership with leaders as they develop their own change competency.   Laurel currently serves on the board of the Calgary Chapter of the Association of Change Management Professionals and the Calgary Executive of the Strategic Capability Network.
